Ice Storm

We had an ice storm blow through a couple of weeks ago.  It was nothing like the North American Ice Storm of 1998, but it was enough to coat everything in a slick layer of ice.

Thankfully, the damage was minimal, a few broken branches, and no loss of power.  Seeing our world looking as though it was made of glass was a beautiful sight :)

  1. Ice storms can be very pretty but also scarey. Years ago we had one in Texas of all places and as the trees bent they broke and it sounded like a gun being shot off. Your photos are lovely.

  5. The closeup of the ice coating is interesting. We've had such mild winters these last few years I hardly know what snow is like unless i head up to the high country. - Margy

  14. We have had the odd ice storm like that in Normandy but very rarely. They are so beautiful but also so potentially damaging and I am glad you didn't lose your power with this one. #pocolo
