Oh... hey February!
Wasn't it just January, like yesterday?
It was -43°C this morning.
The sun is setting later.
Snow squalls have rolled through a few times this week.
Cafe Mocha is a beautiful thing, so are Rocky Road Brownies.
Hockey playoffs mean the season is winding up.
Sweet potato fries rock.
Buttermilk pancakes with buttermilk caramel syrup...dessert for dinner.
Teenage boys that aren't too old to hit the bookstore for a Lord of the Rings colouring book.
Post-hockey pizza.
Star Wars Lego figures. The youngest boy is collecting an army of them.
Other random bits...
Potato Chip Cookies. We all need these in our lives.
Did you have pancakes on Pancake Tuesday?
I'm loving these walk-in shower ideas.
I tried making sushi at home once. It was a nightmare. But these I think I can manage!
And is brown rice really better than white rice?
I want to visit Winnipeg. But not in the winter. They don't call it Winterpeg for nothing.
This Almond Cherry Loaf is perfect for Valentine's Day.
And there's a bunch of Valentine's Day inspiration right here.

Yes, I made blueberry pancakes on Fat Tuesday! I checked out that link about Winnipeg and it was great. It touched on some high points but there is so much more to see in Winnipeg too! I always loved going to the Mennonite Village in Steinbach as well -- good times!
ReplyDeleteLoving the Star Wars lego figures! We did have a few pancakes - though we almost completely forgot about it! x #pocolo

ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up with One Daily Positive, it's great to see what everyone else is up to around the world and that I'm not the only one who can see the positives in their lives, lovely collection of photographs. No pancakes here for me, I completely forgot and I live in a Muslim country so no advertising of it, although we do have christmas and easter celebrated here as well as all the other religious festivals just no sign of pancake day
ReplyDeletemmmmmm, sweet potato fries!! How can anyone go back to regular after having them?? I start a new diet on Monday, and I have to avoid all the yumminess on Pinterest for 21 Days. Good thing I deleted my account! But sweet potatoes? Are ON the menu because they are healthy. Yeah!
ReplyDeleteJust popped back in to say thanks for sharing on the OneGoodThing link up! I missed those walk in shower ideas on the first pass-by so I'll have to take a look now. :)
DeleteAh, the invasion of Star Ward Lego! I think they have occupied every room in our house now

ReplyDeleteThose chip cookies - uh yes please!
Wonderfully captured randomness! Thanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2016/02/old-san-juan-pigeon-park.html
ReplyDeleteI keep wondering, too, how it is that time just flies so much... And - oh.my.God. - -43 °C?! That is freakin' unbearable. We had 'only' -18° with a windchill of -30° and that was already way, way, way too cold for this soul here. Stay warm, Jenn!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to translate Farenheit to Celsius, but that just sounds COLD!!! Don't know that I would ever leave the house. Those pizzas look really good. Thanks for sharing these great pics!
ReplyDeleteI clicked on your post and I swear the only thing I have seen is the pic of the rocky road brownie. I try to focus on the other pics, but my eyes are magnetically drawn back ;-)
ReplyDeleteThansk for sharing with us, Tracey xx #abitofeverything
-43? Yikes, that does sound cold - I'd need several of those rocky roads before even contemplating going outside :) thanks for linking up to #pocolo
ReplyDeleteBrrr that is cold! Your photos always make me so hungry! ;) Thanks for linking to #PoCoLo
