Ten Years Ago, and Fall Colours

The fall leaves haven't reached their colour peak yet this year, so my camera is on stand by.  Waiting to capture the spectacular show that the trees put on each year.  Until then...flashback to ten years ago.  Many of the leaves were already on the ground, the kids were a lot smaller, and small town fall fairs were a must-see attraction.

Ontario Parks provides a handy map to help find the best of the changing leaves and fall colours.  If you're in the area, check it out:

  1. Yes, what's more fun than kids and leaves? Our trees here in Alberta are further along in their autumn colours than the ones I saw on the weekend in Ontario -- they're just starting to turn there, at least in Stratford.

  3. Town fairs are the best! It's always such a treat for the kids to go to one.

Thanks for linking up with us over at Communal Global.

  4. Ah, there are so many wonderful moments to capture and photos are the best way. I do the same with my pictures and they give me lots of 'oh, yes!' moments.

  6. what a great flashback. It looks like your children were enjoying the leaves - although maybe not so much the raking up. We don't have this a lot in Australia as our trees are evergreen and don't shed their leaves in autumn.
Have a wonderful week, and thank you for stopping by my blog through Communal Global. I appreciated your kind words.

  9. I was out on the weekend with my camera - and it was just a bit too early. Only a few leaves were changing. Then today, I step outside and it seems like Mother Nature was up all night with her paint brush. Hopefully I will have some great shots for next week.
But I am not ever looking forward to raking the darn things. LOL
We just have the biggest tree EVER -- it drops leaves like a blizzard. but yes, great for the kids to jump in.

  10. Pure gorgeousness.
I'm on stand-by to book quite a few photo sessions. People want the New England foliage. It's starting.. but not peaking.
I can't wait to start, though.

  15. I love fall and all the pretty colors, too so can't wait until our trees start turning, they haven't done so yet here either. We love jumping in a big pile of leaves, too. These are beautiful pictures, it's always so good to look back on old photos!

  16. My husband and I usually go north in October for vacation specifically for the colors. So beautiful! This year we're going to Orlando where my daughter is attending Disney College and homesick. We will miss the colors this year. It's going to be 86 here today. Send some cool weather to Louisiana. We'd appreciate it!
