It's Friday! Which is weird, because yesterday felt like a Monday. We celebrated Canada Day on Wednesday and it was odd taking a day off mid-week, rather than enjoying a long weekend.
It ended up being a lazy kind of day, but we did venture down to the lake for fireworks.
I have my own little collection of Canadiana here.
We plan to go strawberry picking this weekend, so I've been pinning all things strawberry to this pinboard.
Check this list of 35 Food Markets Around The World To Put On Your Travel Bucket List. Toronto's St Lawrence Market is at the top of the list, so I think we should go.
I have limes and I have coconut. I need to make this Coconut Lime Bread.
And hello, Campfire Baked Bananas, yes please!
I love sprouts on a sandwich. How about growing your own?
This S'mores Chocolate Tart looks positively decadent.
Painted rocks. I can't explain why I'm so taken with these.
Do you eat microwave popcorn? Ditch that bag of chemicals and try this instead.
And these Blueberry Vanilla Greek Yogurt Granola Bars look like something I need to make. Mystery of the yogurt coating solved.
Finally, for your entertainment, a beer fridge, Canada style:
Ugh, the chemical butter popcorn is so nasty. I know I joked about it on my blog but I love homemade best. With cultured butter and some sea salt. Oh yes.
ReplyDeleteYou got great fireworks photos! Sadly, we've been rained out of fireworks this year and Des is a bit young for them.
Amazing fireworks pictures! Happy (late) Canada Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks
Angie
Great post! I always make popcorn the old fashioned way! Your firework shots are great and the video is just awesome!
ReplyDeleteI really would love a popcorn maker! I still say the best is the one we make over a campfire - that Jiffy Pop stuff. ha
ReplyDeletebut I am guessing that is still chemical soup really. looks like you had a great view for those fireworks! One year I am going to take my real camera and tripod and get some decent shots.
Love the fireworks! Thanks for linking up and sharing with us at Funtastic Friday. Please join us again this week.
