It's snowing again. Or more accurately, it's STILL snowing. The world is white, with a streak of grey and a smudge of brown.
Over the weekend, that damn groundhog announced six more weeks of winter. I'm not sure if I can wait that long to see some colour in the world again. I miss the warmth of sun, but it's the absence of colour that I feel more profoundly.
I came across this neat online tool, Chip It! by Sherwin Williams, where you can create your own colour palette from any image.
Pretty cool, huh?
It makes even the dullest winter palette interesting.
I kind of wish it would snow here instead of just being bitterly cold. But then I see pictures like this and I'm glad it hasn't!
ReplyDeleteOh man the chip it thing is awesome!
The ChipIt looks like fun - I will have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteawesome. i'm jealous of the snow

Ah, that is SO cool! And very creative. I will not be painting my house in the colors I see outside today.. although maybe a beach house?
ReplyDeleteWe already got about a foot of snow, and then after playing in it/shoveling/making plans to maybe venture out, it started snowing again!
Ahhhh!
I really like this palette idea!! I must go try it out! (I also love your snow photos!)

Wow, that is very cool! I miss color, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour palette thingy. I do feel for you over there. At least you seem to be getting about on the roads okay - when it snows over there, everything STOPS. Hopeless!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what part of Ontario you're in but I'm in Orillia, and I've never seen a winter with this much snow before. Some of our snow banks are ten feet high. How I long for spring :)
ReplyDeleteStay warm and dry!
While I really am over winter, and I do not even live as far north as you do..., the white blanket of snow does look pretty. That color palette really is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteI have really had enough of the snow now, although it does look pretty (until you have to do the school run in it) but I love the look of that tool, off to check it out :) #PoCoLo
ReplyDeleteI missed snow since I am in Singapore now.. and your chip it looks extremely fun to play with. Thanks for sharing with 4 seasons blog hop. Cheers and have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteWill definitely have to check out ChipIt - it looks great :) I have to admit that as much as I love snow, I am SO glad we don't have any! Thanks for linking to PoCoLo x
