Photo A Day - Paparazzi in the House

I'm used to listening to my kids groan about having their pictures taken.  However, I don't think I've ever heard anyone grumble "are you seriously taking a picture of my Cream of Wheat??"

Why yes, as a matter of fact, I am.

I'm taking this Photo a Day thing seriously, and if it means snapping a shot of your bedtime snack because I didn't take any other photos today, then so be it.

Or using a few pics shot from a fellow hockey mama's phone... inside the car, windows rolled up tight, as a spring thunderstorm blew in.
Quality photos?  Hell no.  Memorable storm?  Oh ya.

And the sunshine-y corner of my kitchen window.

Or maybe the pencil crayons all lined up OCD style.

These biscuits, warm from the oven.

Just call me Martha.  Paparazzi Martha.

  2. I love the everyday, random shots! That's what my phone is full of! I just took a pic of a Weight Watchers ice cream box on the shelf next to the Ben and Jerry's in the store freezer. Somebody obviously had good intentions and then changed their mind! It made me laugh so I snapped a quick pic. The funny, memorable, random, mundane things are what life is made of. Keep taking those pics to savor the memories. Today I posted some pics from overly-ambitious Pinterest Mamas. I'd love for you to check them out: www.RocksNoSaltMommy.com

  3. I'm doing the once a day photo challenge too. Not very well mind you.

  4. I do that with coloured pencils in a very OCD way too!

  5. My Hubs does that with his crayons. Since he is on dialysis, he spends a lot of time in one place and coloring is a great stress reliever. Every time he gets a new box, all 'like' colors get grouped together.

    Great pics, thanks for sharing.

I like to sort my pencils, crayons and markers too but mine have to be in ROYGBIV, which my husband thinks is hilarious.

  17. Mmmm- Cream of Wheat - I haven't had that in so long. I'm not doing the challenge, but I think it would be fun to just take random photos. Maybe I'll start doing that!

  19. I used to love cream of wheat as a kid. I always thought it was a more preferable option to oatmeal, which was too goopy for my little palette.

  26. Better than I. I need to be reminded to take pictures at all. I took hundreds of pictures of my son, but my daughter, I don't take even a quarter. I feel bad. I want to start this someday... ah, someday.

  28. Ha! Love the pencil OCD. My family have been known to ask if they are ok to commence eating or do I need to take a pic first. Very embarrassing when we are eating with someone who doesn't 'get' blogging.

  30. I might be the only one, but I think if you post a picture of food there should be a rule that you have to post the recipe...since there's not a rule...you could be really nice and post (or email me?) a recipe for those biscuits and a couple weeks ago maybe it was a loaf of apple bread? Both look delicious!
