Tomorrow is September. One more week until back to school. I can look back on the past two months and say that we enjoyed our summer, and for that I'm grateful, but I'm not ready for it to be over. I've always secretly dreaded back to school while everyone else seemed to be jumping for joy. Partly because I'm SO not a morning person, partly because I hate homework and schedules and assignment deadlines, and partly because packing lunches while it's still dark out sucks.
We ended our summer with a one week cottage rental up north. The weather wasn't great, we had rain five out of the seven days, but it was a good week of relaxing, kayaking, board games, puzzles, fishing, fire building, movie watching, and reading.
Yesterday was laundry, all day. Today was back to work. One more long weekend to look forward to before we put summer away.
Great sporty shots!

Such a beautiful place to round out the summer. Im like you I dreaded school and early mornings. We would just get used to it and then summer and the circle goes around.
ReplyDeleteHope you have one last great week!!

ReplyDeleteToo bad about the rain! I'm heading off to Niagara-on-the-Lake in a couple of days and the weather forecast says it will be hotter than the hubs of hell while I'm there.

ReplyDeleteI had a nice day putting my computer all back together - a summer end tradition I hope to never repeat! ugh.
hoping that I can get one more beach day - for just myself - before the summer is truly over. Muskoka is a beautiful area.
School for us has already started. So I am already ready for a Vacation. As for something fun we did not go anywhere this Summer so I am planning on taking a weekend away in Nov. Just a Staycation at a local hotel where we can swim ad have fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly not ready for it to be over either. Wish I had rented a cottage at a location as pretty as this for the upcoming long weekend. Looks beautiful! Thanks for linking up this week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Summer may be over for almost all, but the hubby and I are taking off for our vacation next week. Much nicer to travel when all the kids are back in school.
