The fall leaves haven't reached their colour peak yet this year, so my camera is on stand by. Waiting to capture the spectacular show that the trees put on each year. Until then...flashback to ten years ago. Many of the leaves were already on the ground, the kids were a lot smaller, and small town fall fairs were a must-see attraction.
Ontario Parks provides a handy map to help find the best of the changing leaves and fall colours. If you're in the area, check it out:
Yes, what's more fun than kids and leaves? Our trees here in Alberta are further along in their autumn colours than the ones I saw on the weekend in Ontario -- they're just starting to turn there, at least in Stratford.
ReplyDeleteCute pics! I can't wait for the leaves to start turning in my corner of the world. Thanks for visiting my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteTown fairs are the best! It's always such a treat for the kids to go to one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us over at Communal Global.
Great memories, I'm sure!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, there are so many wonderful moments to capture and photos are the best way. I do the same with my pictures and they give me lots of 'oh, yes!' moments.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics : )
ReplyDeleteOur leaves are only just starting to turn - my camera is on standby too : )
what a great flashback. It looks like your children were enjoying the leaves - although maybe not so much the raking up. We don't have this a lot in Australia as our trees are evergreen and don't shed their leaves in autumn.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, and thank you for stopping by my blog through Communal Global. I appreciated your kind words.
Oh Jenn your kids or gorgeous. Fall is favorite of all seasons and I love how you captured it ten years ago. Here's to a great fall this year too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun flashback...I love looking back at my kids from years ago.
ReplyDeleteI was out on the weekend with my camera - and it was just a bit too early. Only a few leaves were changing. Then today, I step outside and it seems like Mother Nature was up all night with her paint brush. Hopefully I will have some great shots for next week.
ReplyDeleteBut I am not ever looking forward to raking the darn things. LOL
We just have the biggest tree EVER -- it drops leaves like a blizzard. but yes, great for the kids to jump in.
Pure gorgeousness.
ReplyDeleteI'm on stand-by to book quite a few photo sessions. People want the New England foliage. It's starting.. but not peaking.
I can't wait to start, though.
Hi Jenn, Thanks so much for coming by and taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate every one of them!
ReplyDeleteComments also introduce me to new bloggers, like you :0) So happy to meet you.
The foliage and your children are so beautiful!! Loved seeing the photos . . . what a fun flashback.
Looking forward to seeing this year's Fall colors from your neck of the woods :0)
Have a wonderful weekend,

ReplyDeleteMorning Jenn, lovely pictures. We love to play in the Autumn leaves :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to the weekend bloghop :)
Falls + Fairs go together so well! Love the winsome photos from ten years ago...
ReplyDeleteI love fall and all the pretty colors, too so can't wait until our trees start turning, they haven't done so yet here either. We love jumping in a big pile of leaves, too. These are beautiful pictures, it's always so good to look back on old photos!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I usually go north in October for vacation specifically for the colors. So beautiful! This year we're going to Orlando where my daughter is attending Disney College and homesick. We will miss the colors this year. It's going to be 86 here today. Send some cool weather to Louisiana. We'd appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos. Our trees are just starting to change colour. It is Mummy's favourite time of the year. #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteI love Fall...looks like you all do too:

ReplyDeleteAhhh, leaves are such fun! I am glad your children got to enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. Love the one lying in the leaves.
ReplyDeleteI really hope I get to take N to an arboretum to jump in leaves over the next couple of weeks #livingarrows
I think that the Autumnal colours are so much more vivid on your side of the pond (your fairs look better too!). Thank you for linking to PoCoLo :) x
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn!
